Robert
Anderson is a Colorado-based photographer who focuses on creation
of two types of images: night-time scenes of urban life and
unique landscapes of the Western United States. Robert Anderson's
images have won several awards (including best of show) at
national juried competitions and have appeared in well-known
photographic publications. All images are taken without use
of enhancing filters and are not digitally altered.
Low-light/
night-time photography with creative usage of slow speed film
yields exceptionally colorful and unusual images of landmarks,
"watering holes" and other street scenes as seen
in the context of artificial light. It is Robert Anderson's
view that after dark photography captures not only beautiful
imagery, but also offers unique insights into the character
of contemporary urban life. Creation of unique landscape images
requires patience to await unusual climatic conditions or
scouting new locations. Robert Anderson utilizes both approaches
in developing his views of nature.
Together,
recording unique night-time views taken in artificial light
and grand scenic views taken in natural light offers a challenging
and diverse palette of opportunities for photographic imagery.
